1. Genome Modification, Editing, and Synthetic Biology

Utilizing cutting-edge synthetic biology technologies, we precisely identify, modify, and edit the genomes of cells or pathogens. By identifying the host defense mechanisms against viruses or pathogens, and integrating epigenetics, genomics, and proteomics, we develop specifically designed engineered cells. We analyze how these epigenetic modifications or genome alterations impact cellular activities or pathogen infectivity, and elucidate their effects on superbugs.

2. Design and Modification of Innovative Drugs

Based on the mechanisms of drug synthesis and the understanding of the pathogenic mechanisms of major diseases such as viruses, neurological disorders, and cancers, we conduct comprehensive pathological analyses to rationally select and design potential drugs. Using advanced technologies in synthetic biology, genome editing, genetic engineering, protein engineering, metabolic engineering, and combinatorial biosynthesis, we optimize and modify these potential drugs. We develop corresponding biomaterials, innovative drugs, mRNA vaccines, and therapeutic methods, aiming to improve performance and achieve clinical applicability.
