The Public Research Platform of the Shenzhen Institute of Translational Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Translational Institute) is a crucial open platform across the city for basic research, technological achievement transformation, high-level hospital construction, and discipline development. The Translational Institute centrally manages all laboratory benches, office spaces, instruments, equipment, and conference rooms on the public research platform, ensuring resource sharing. It provides high-quality and efficient platforms and services to clinical doctors, distinguished experts, part-time experts, full-time researchers, postdoctoral fellows, technicians, interns, and researchers engaged in basic, clinical, and translational research from both inside and outside the hospital.
The Public Research Platform includes the Public Instrument Platform, Public Service Platform, and Experimental Animal Service Platform, meeting the experimental needs for cell experiments, molecular biology experiments, microbiological experiments, pathology experiments, small and large rodent model experiments, and large animal model experiments, accommodating 80-100 people conducting experiments simultaneously. The instruments and equipment of the Public Research Platform are valued at a total of 27.4658 million yuan. Key equipment includes the IVIS Spectrum CT (PerkinElmer), Seahorse XFe96 Cell Energy Metabolism System (Agilent), BD FACSAria II Flow Cytometer, High-Speed High-Content Cell Analysis System (ImageXpress Micro4), DxP Athena Flow Cytometer, and Axio Observer Fluorescence Inverted Microscope, among others.
In alignment with Shenzhen's large scientific instrument-sharing policy and to enhance equipment utilization, instruments valued over 300,000 yuan are listed on the 'Large Instrument Sharing Platform of Shenzhen Second People's Hospital."
