Centered on major diseases that threaten human health and based on the construction of clinical biobanks, it uses interdisciplinary integration as a link. Relying on the basic research characteristics and clinical advantages of various medical institutions within the Shenzhen health system, including the Second People's Hospital, it forms interdisciplinary teams that truly break down the barriers between basic and clinical medicine. This approach creates a rapid two-way channel from the laboratory to the bedside, quickly translating the knowledge and results obtained from basic research into new technologies and methods for clinical diagnosis and treatment. The goal is to make new breakthroughs in the research and treatment of major diseases, providing strong support for the sustainable and healthy development of the economy and society and for the construction of an innovative nation.
The Shenzhen Institute of Translational Medicine has established multiple research platforms that have been set up and are operating normally at the Guanlan Yinxing Intelligence Laboratory. These include several key research platforms such as the National-Local Joint Laboratory, Provincial Key Laboratory, Municipal Key Laboratory, and Sanming Project of Medicine in Shenzhen.
